These Terms & Conditions apply to purchases, orders, enquiries and services provided by Silver Glaze.
Silver Glaze is owned and operated by Coco Madison. By placing an order with Silver Glaze or using this website, you agree to these Terms & Conditions.
Orders
All cakes and products are subject to availability.
An order is not confirmed until payment has been successfully received and you have received confirmation from Silver Glaze.
Please ensure all information supplied with your order is accurate, including your contact details, delivery address, event date and selected product options.
Silver Glaze reserves the right to decline or cancel an order where we are unable to fulfil it. If we cancel an order after payment has been received, any amount paid for the unfulfilled order will be refunded.
Order Notice
Please allow a minimum of 3 days’ notice for all standard cake orders. Zerzura requires a minimum of 4 days’ notice, and Forever Queen requires a minimum of 5 days’ notice.
These lead times allow sufficient time for preparation, setting and finishing each creation to the required standard. Orders requested with less notice are subject to availability and may not be accepted.
Pricing and Payment
All prices are displayed in Australian dollars.
Prices may vary according to cake size, design, complexity and other selected options. The applicable price will be displayed before your order is submitted.
Payment is required through the payment methods made available at checkout.
Additional charges may apply for delivery outside our complimentary local delivery zone or for approved changes requested after an order has been confirmed.
Gift Cards
Silver Glaze gift cards are issued electronically and may be redeemed online towards Silver Glaze products and applicable delivery charges.
Gift cards do not expire and may be used across multiple transactions. Where the value of a purchase is less than the available gift card balance, the remaining balance will remain available as gift card credit for future purchases until fully used.
Where the value of an order exceeds the available gift card balance, the remaining amount must be paid using another accepted payment method.
Redemption of a gift card is subject to product availability and the applicable minimum order notice periods. A gift card represents monetary value only and does not guarantee the availability or price of any particular Silver Glaze creation. Prices applicable at the time an order is placed will apply.
Where a refund is approved for an order paid using a gift card, any amount originally paid using the gift card will be returned to the gift card balance.
Gift cards are not redeemable for cash and cannot be exchanged for cash or refunded except where required by law.
Gift card codes should be treated like cash. Customers are responsible for keeping their gift card code secure. Silver Glaze is not responsible for gift card codes that are lost, stolen or used without permission, except where required by law.
Bespoke Creations
Bespoke cakes are individually developed according to the agreed concept, occasion and requirements.
Design references, photographs and inspiration supplied by a customer may be used as creative direction. As every Silver Glaze creation is individually handcrafted, an exact reproduction of another cake, photograph or design cannot be guaranteed.
Final design elements may vary slightly according to scale, available materials, seasonal availability and the creative requirements of the finished piece.
Any substantial proposed variation will be discussed with you where reasonably possible.
Handmade Variations
Silver Glaze cakes are handcrafted rather than mass produced.
Minor variations in colour, finish, placement, form and decorative detail are a natural part of individually made products and contribute to the individuality of each creation.
Product photography is intended to represent the appearance and character of our cakes as accurately as reasonably possible. Screen settings, lighting and the handmade nature of our work may result in slight differences between photographs and the finished product.
Delivery
Silver Glaze currently provides local delivery across selected Sydney areas.
Complimentary delivery is included within our designated local delivery zone. Additional delivery charges apply to extended delivery zones and are calculated according to the delivery postcode at checkout.
Delivery availability, zones and charges may change from time to time.
You are responsible for providing a complete and accurate delivery address and ensuring that someone is available to receive the cake at the agreed delivery time.
If delivery cannot be completed because an incorrect address was supplied, access is unavailable or no one is present to receive the order, additional delivery charges may apply if another delivery attempt can be arranged.
Delivery times are provided as an approximate window and may be affected by circumstances outside our reasonable control, including traffic, weather and unforeseen delays. We will make reasonable efforts to communicate significant delays.
Receiving and Caring for Your Cake
Once your cake has been delivered and accepted, responsibility for appropriate handling, storage and presentation passes to the customer.
Please follow any storage, refrigeration, serving or handling instructions provided by Silver Glaze.
Cakes should be kept appropriately refrigerated where required and protected from heat, direct sunlight, moisture and unstable surfaces.
Silver Glaze cannot accept responsibility for damage caused after delivery by inappropriate storage, transportation, handling or environmental conditions.
Nothing in this section limits any rights you may have under the Australian Consumer Law.
Allergens and Dietary Requirements
Allergen information relevant to individual products is provided with our product information or can be requested from Silver Glaze.
Please advise us of any allergies or dietary requirements before placing an order or, for bespoke enquiries, before the order is confirmed.
We will provide accurate information about allergens present in our products and will advise you if we are unable to safely accommodate a particular dietary or allergy requirement.
Customers are responsible for ensuring that relevant allergen or dietary information is communicated to anyone consuming the product.
Order Changes and Cancellations
Requests to change or cancel an order are subject to our Refunds, Cancellations & Order Changes Policy, which forms part of these Terms & Conditions.
Changes are subject to availability and may result in additional charges where they require additional ingredients, labour, design work or sourcing.
Intellectual Property
Unless otherwise stated, the Silver Glaze name, branding, original cake designs, photographs, written content and other original material appearing on this website are owned by or licensed to Silver Glaze.
Website content and imagery may not be copied, reproduced, distributed, commercially used or represented as the work of another person or business without prior written permission.
The use of customer-supplied inspiration does not transfer ownership of Silver Glaze's original creative work or photography.
Website Information
We take reasonable care to ensure information displayed on this website is accurate and current.
From time to time, products, prices, availability, descriptions or website content may be updated.
If an obvious error affects an order you have already placed, we will contact you as soon as reasonably possible and work with you to resolve it.
Australian Consumer Law
Our goods and services come with consumer guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law.
Nothing in these Terms & Conditions, or in any other Silver Glaze policy, is intended to exclude, restrict or modify any right or remedy that cannot lawfully be excluded.
Privacy
Personal information is handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
Changes to These Terms
Silver Glaze may update these Terms & Conditions from time to time.
The Terms applying to an order will be those published on the website at the time the order is placed, except where a change is required by law.
Governing Law
These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia, and applicable Commonwealth laws.
